THE EXPORT OF PHOTOVOLTAIC PRODUCTS ROSE 113%

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in the first half of 2022, China's photovoltaic industry achieved high growth under the guidance of peak carbon and carbon neutral targets and in the context of accelerated global clean energy applications. According to industry standard announcements, enterprise information and industry association calculations, the national PV industry have maintained strong momentum, with a year-on-year growth rate of more than 45%.

Demand in overseas PV markets continued to be strong, achieving a rise in both volume and price. In the first half of the year, module exports reached 78.6gw, up 74.3% year-on-year; total PV product exports amounted to approximately US$25.9 billion, up 113.1% year-on-year.

GF Securities believes that overseas demand has blossomed beyond expectations under the demand of energy transition. China's PV industry has global competitive advantages, and Chinese PV manufacturers are expected to be the biggest winners of the energy transition.

In addition, the gradual increase in PPA tariffs in overseas markets has increased the willingness of developers to invest in PV power plants, and the acceptance of raw material prices such as modules, inverters and auxiliary materials has further increased, opening up the profitability of manufacturers.
